Mexico Vacation

Our trip to Cancun, Mexico was amazing, to say the least! Our Hotel was fabulous, the food was delicious everywhere we ate, and we got to spend some much needed relaxation and quality time together. We walked around the island, went shopping for unique finds, and ATE, ATE and ATE some more. I highly recommend this wonderful vacation spot, and going in November before Thanksgiving is a great time too. Not to crowded, but not quiet either. This trip was definitely one to remember. I hope we can go back soon!
We were served homemade tortillas in these cute little baskets, that I really wanted to bring home with me. However, I did not, I could not find the same ones for sale at the market. O well, maybe next time.
Lunch with my honey and our hotel. It was like a second Honeymoon! So nice and romantic!

Our friend Fillipe made us this wonderful dinner filled with Lobster, Shrimp, Crab Legs, Fish and Clams. Everything was extremely fresh and seasoned perfectly; garlic, butter, herbs! Done!

Our friends Gerrit and Young from Germany went on the trip with us. We try to meet them every year in a vacation spot between the U.S. and Germany. We first visited them when we went to France and got engaged, then finished our trip in their town, Hamburg, Germany. The year before last we met in south Texas on the beach and now again in Cancun. We are hoping our next spot is back to Paris where we will have the opportunity to visit London as well.
Chicken enchiladas for breakfast, yes I did! And they were to die for!!! Everything was so good!
Our view at the beach was perfect. The weather was 80 degrees, sun shining, and beautiful!!!
Our Hotel, Grand Coral Beach Fiesta Americana. Rated #7 by the Travel Channel's Top Mexican Beach Resorts. It was worth every penny!

We ate EVERY night at this Taco Stand that was soooooooooooooooo good! We did a lot of EATING in Mexico. Can you tell?!?!?

Happy Birthday Whitney!

When I was little I watched the cartoon JEM and the Holograms with my sisters and we absolutely LOVED this show. Since my birthday is close to Halloween, I wanted to have a "dress up" party this year. I chose to be JEM, of course, Claire and Kimberly were Kimber and Aja, and Kelli, Meredith, and Kristen were 80's girls.
My friends are so sweet to dress up with me, and such great sports. We also had some awesome 80's outfits from the guys that I did not get photos of, but all in all it as a Totally Outrageous time!!!!

GULF SHORES 2010

Our Annual Beach Vacation was a blast this year. We almost rerouted our trip because of the oil spill but it really was not half as bad as it was made out to be. We had our annual cook-off each night; Foie Gras, Crab&Chicken enchiladas, Beef Wellington, Seafood Paella, and of course Lemon Pie made the menu. Little Guy came to the beach crawling and by the time we left, his wonderful godmother, Kendall taught him how to walk! Brannigan lost a tooth and the toothfairy came all the way to the beach to see him! We had such a great time and can't wait to go back next year! Shopping in Foley at the Outlet mall is always a must, and our new favorite place to shop; Fairhope, Alabama! So cute! Antiques, Antiques, Antiques! My Fairhope find is pictured below!

Boat Ride to LuLu's
This was Little Guy's 1st boat ride ever and he LOVED it!

Beach Days

Our attempted Family Photo Session-next year we're hiring a professional!

Our last day at the beach!
Beautiful view!
Jon caught ladyfish in the ocean.
Our friend that we fed our daily catch to, he would walk up to our house and wait for us to feed him!

ROXY & JULES

My little girls!!! I love my dogs as if they were my children! I took some pictures of my girls because Jules is going to be away at "Hunting Camp," for the next 3 months. She is a champion blood line retriever, so she gets really excited when she smells a duck. Jon and I decided to send her to camp to train her for what she loves to do. I miss her already and I do not want to be away from her for so long. She is having fun though, and I will go see her at the beginning of August. The trainer said he wants to enter her in the Duck Festival competition in Gueydan, La. She has already made a great impression with him, and I can't wait to see how much she learns in the next month.

It is really hard to get two dogs to sit and stay and look at you, all at the same time!
I love my babies!
My little hunting girl!
Roxy is my watchdog and she protects us. She has also been a great teacher to Jules who now has a "Bigger Bark."
Jules favorite things are chewing sticks and ice. She is just the cutest little girl ever! This picture sums it all up!

Debutante Day at the Races

I did this event through Red Door for Miss Taylor Willis. The theme of the Debutante party was butterflies and bows! Dayna Willis hired me to do all the designing and decorating. We made all the pots with ribbon and monogrammed initials. The columns were wrapped with christmas lights and each one had a huge mesh bow on each side. I had a blast working with Dayna and loved every minute of it!

This was Taylor's special table and her pots were decorated with trim and fringe that was bright and fun!

This was the grand entrance piece that I made for Taylor. My suprise gift to her were the letters T, E, and W, her initials, and hung them over the entrance with cute ribbon and butterflies.
This was incredible! The cupcakes had real flowers on each one and they were also delicious!

Debutante Day was a great party and I'm so grateful I could be a part of this special day. Thank you Dayna, Taylor and entire Willis family for all of your help, and I appreciate all of your hospitality! See you soon!
