ROXY & JULES

My little girls!!! I love my dogs as if they were my children! I took some pictures of my girls because Jules is going to be away at "Hunting Camp," for the next 3 months. She is a champion blood line retriever, so she gets really excited when she smells a duck. Jon and I decided to send her to camp to train her for what she loves to do. I miss her already and I do not want to be away from her for so long. She is having fun though, and I will go see her at the beginning of August. The trainer said he wants to enter her in the Duck Festival competition in Gueydan, La. She has already made a great impression with him, and I can't wait to see how much she learns in the next month.

It is really hard to get two dogs to sit and stay and look at you, all at the same time!
I love my babies!
My little hunting girl!
Roxy is my watchdog and she protects us. She has also been a great teacher to Jules who now has a "Bigger Bark."
Jules favorite things are chewing sticks and ice. She is just the cutest little girl ever! This picture sums it all up!

Debutante Day at the Races

I did this event through Red Door for Miss Taylor Willis. The theme of the Debutante party was butterflies and bows! Dayna Willis hired me to do all the designing and decorating. We made all the pots with ribbon and monogrammed initials. The columns were wrapped with christmas lights and each one had a huge mesh bow on each side. I had a blast working with Dayna and loved every minute of it!

This was Taylor's special table and her pots were decorated with trim and fringe that was bright and fun!

This was the grand entrance piece that I made for Taylor. My suprise gift to her were the letters T, E, and W, her initials, and hung them over the entrance with cute ribbon and butterflies.
This was incredible! The cupcakes had real flowers on each one and they were also delicious!

Debutante Day was a great party and I'm so grateful I could be a part of this special day. Thank you Dayna, Taylor and entire Willis family for all of your help, and I appreciate all of your hospitality! See you soon!

Two Year Anniversary

This is the first meal we had at home as newly engaged. When we got back from our trip to France and Germany, we tried to recreate the wonderful food we had for the past week. I will always remember the simplicity in good food, good wine and good company. Cheers!

Since I had finals during our anniversary, Jon prepared one of our favorites. Smoked Salmon, blue cheese-stuffed tomaotes and he even made me a Mandarin Orange Cake. I am so lucky to have such a sweet husband! Our favorite meals are the simple classics that always remind me of when we got home from Paris after we got engaged.

Jon suprised me with these two gorgeous antique lamps. They are so me! He always does such a great job picking out anything for me. Jon has wanted a meat grinder ever since I have known him, so I thought, why not? Well, that's what I got him...We have not had any meat to grind yet, but when we do, it will be put to good use! Happy Two Years! I Love You!

Jon's Birthday Trip

Friday we arrived in New Orleans, picked up Wiley and headed to Tipitina's for the Galactic late show. We made friends with some people that had backstage passes, so we hungout front row and watched an awesome performance. GALACTIC is always a jammin' great time!

Saturday we walked around in the French Quarter, shopped, and then went to dinner at LUKE, John Besh's restaurant. We had appetizers, soup, entrees, and desert! Everything was delicious!

We went to Jazz Fest on Sunday and it was awesome! We ate some of the best food-Crawfish Bread was the best-and the Allman Brothers were amazing! They are one of my all time favorite bands ever. This was the 4th show we have seen! I try to see them anytime they are close.

The weekend was wonderful and I know Jon had a great 30th Birthday trip. Thank you Wiley and Hayley for all of your generous hospitality.
Happy Birthday to my amazing husband, I love you!
